If we long to believe that the stars rise and set for us,
that we are the reason there is a Universe, does sci-
ence do us a disservice in deflating our conceits?
    Carl Sagan

Stella Asia Consonni, photographer based in
London and Milan, has got an almost child-like
fascination for everyday objects, their working
and how they relate to us in the most basic
tasks of our life. An apple, a lid, a tangerine
certainly holds a greater influence on human
beings than the trajectory of the Sun. These
objects and the subtle threads which coexist
betweeen them -the space they occupy- create
their own universe, the one that really matters
to us. Even if science has taken most of the
mystery out of the Universe, we can still un-
cover the hidden reality of everyday life, like
children looking at the sky for the first time.
Stella Asia Consonni manages to do so by cre-
ating analogic images in a colour darkroom
with a camera-less techniques called photo-
    gram and luminogram.

Celestica maps a unique and evocative uni-
verse, risen from hyper-reality and unravelled
    all around us.
